What these units include
Most combine several elements: a slide lane, a climbing wall or steps to reach the top, a sprinkler line that keeps the surface wet, and a splash pool where the slide ends. Larger models add a second lane so two children can race.
The multi-feature designs hold attention longer than a plain slide, because there is a circuit to complete rather than one action to repeat.
Space, and the vertical dimension
These are tall. Height is the measurement most people forget to check, and it determines whether the unit fits under a tree or beside a verandah. Measure up as well as out, and allow room to walk around the whole footprint.
Blower and water
Larger splash inflatables need a continuous-flow blower running throughout use — confirm whether one is included on the product page. The sprinkler line runs from a standard garden hose at the same time.
That means one power point and one tap, both within reach of the setup spot. Extension leads and hose fittings are worth checking before the day rather than on it.
Ground and drainage
Level grass, pegged at every anchor point. Water accumulates fast under a splash unit, so choose a spot that drains or be prepared to move it between uses to spare the lawn.
Drying and storage
Rinse, dry fully in the sun, then fold. These are large items and drying them properly takes longer than a small inflatable — give it a full day if you can rather than packing it away that evening.
